Police Arrest Two In The Stolen Plaque Case At The NB Museum

The bronze plaques taken from the New Brunswick Museum in Saint John have been found following the arrest of two people.

A staff member noticed the plaques missing from the side of the building on the Douglas Avenue on July 28th.

Jane Fullerton of the museum tells us it's hard to know the motivation of the people who took them.

She says they would not be of value expect for the material they are made of, cast bronze, could be of interest to people dealing in scrap metal.

The large bronze plaques were put on the museum to recognize people important to the history of New Brunswick and Canada.
