Staff & Facilities
New Brunswick Museum conservators are based at the Douglas Avenue Collections Facility. The conservation team carries out their day to day operations and intensive treatment work in the on–site laboratory.
Facilities
The team is responsible for the preservation concerns of the artifacts of individual collections across the Humanities, Natural Sciences and Archives & Library sections whether housed at Douglas Avenue, on display in the Market Square exhibition galleries or on loan to other cultural institutions across the province, Canada or the world.
Conservation work, however, is not limited to Douglas Avenue. NBM conservators are also responsible for works that are on display in the Market Square exhibition galleries and they also participate in special programmes and other opportunities that highlight the preservation aspects of the museum collection.
