The New Brunswick Museum Exhibition Centre will be closed until further notice

Archives and Research Library

The New Brunswick Museum (NBM) Exhibition Centre is closed until further notice as the museum is entering a crucial phase of major facilities and exhibitions renewal.

The Government of New Brunswick is actively working with the Board, staff and management of the NBM to identify a permanent location in Saint John for a revitalized New Brunswick Museum.

While this work proceeds, the Archives and Research Library and the Humanities and Natural History Departments, at the Douglas Avenue Collections and Research Centre, will remain open for business, as will the NBM Boutique in-store (Brunswick Square, uptown Saint John) and online.

More information on this next chapter for the museum will be announced soon.

The New Brunswick Museum Archives & Research Library located at 277 Douglas Avenue is open to the public – by appointment only. Open Tuesday to Friday, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Appointments can be made by calling 506-643-2322 or emailing archives@nbm-mnb.ca.

The Archives & Research Library facility is located on the first floor of the New Brunswick Museum's Collections Centre. Staff is on duty to assist researchers.
