New Brunswick Museum Launches Summer of History Mobile Museum

Saint John, N.B — The New Brunswick Museum is launching its Summer of History Mobile Museum, a new province-wide outreach that will bring New Brunswick’s stories to festivals, community celebrations and special events across the province throughout the summer of 2026. Through interactive exhibits, educational programming and objects from the provincial collection, the Mobile Museum will connect people of all ages with New Brunswick’s rich natural and cultural heritage.

At the heart of the program is a celebration of the museums, archives and heritage organizations that preserve and share those stories every day. Working with local partners ahead of each stop, Museum staff will highlight the stories behind their collections and exhibitions while encouraging residents and visitors alike to discover the remarkable heritage experiences available in communities throughout New Brunswick.

“The Mobile Museum shines a spotlight on the incredible museums, archives and heritage organizations found throughout New Brunswick,” said Dominique Gélinas, Head of Exhibitions and Visitor Experience with the New Brunswick Museum. “We hope it inspires people to visit them, discover their stories and experience the rich heritage that exists in communities across our province.”

While work continues on the new New Brunswick Museum, the Summer of History Mobile Museum will help keep New Brunswickers connected with their provincial collection and the stories that shape our province.
