A Circle of Life: A Tribute to Indigenous Resilience

The New Brunswick Museum presents A Circle of Life, a moving exhibition honouring the strength and dignity of the Indigenous peoples who have lived on this land for centuries.

This impactful display marks the culmination of a 15-year journey by Acadian artist Donald McGraw, driven by his desire to celebrate the enduring spirit of Indigenous leadership in New Brunswick.

Featuring 12 carefully rendered portraits of Indigenous chiefs from communities throughout the province, A Circle of Life underscores the profound connections between people, land, and spirit. McGraw’s extensive project fostered a deep appreciation for the rich cultural heritage and steadfast pride within Indigenous communities. This exhibition serves as a sincere recognition of the compassion, friendship, and mutual respect that have connected cultures for over 400 years.
