Health in Space: Daring to Explore

Blast off into the unknown with Health in Space: Daring to Explore, a special exhibition that delves into the health challenges of space travel.

Developed by the Canada Aviation and Space Museum, in collaboration with the Canadian Space Agency, this interactive journey (September 20, 2019 – January 6, 2020) reveals the human body’s incredible adaptability in the face of zero gravity, radiation, and isolation.

Through authentic artifacts and hands-on activities, discover Canada’s crucial role in advancing health research for deep-space exploration. Meet Canadian astronauts, including David Saint-Jacques, who share their first-hand experiences in video interviews. Explore the cutting-edge technology and innovative solutions being developed to keep astronauts healthy in space – and how these discoveries can also improve our lives on Earth.

“Space remains a hostile environment, and it’s fascinating to understand its effects on the human body,” says Dominique Gélinas, Head of Exhibitions and Visitor Experience at the New Brunswick Museum. Don’t miss this free exhibition, which “demystifies a very complex aspect of space exploration” (Christina Tessier, President and CEO of Ingenium – Canada’s Museums of Science and Innovation).
