Saint John, New Brunswick

The Board of the New Brunswick Museum (NBM) has released a Request for Proposals (RFP) seeking an architectural firm to plan and design a modern New Brunswick Museum in Saint John.

“This is the first step to getting a new provincial museum built in Saint John that will securely preserve and showcase our province’s natural and cultural history,” said NBM Board Chair Dr. Kathryn Hamer.

The NBM Board, with the help of Colliers Project Leaders, has developed and issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the selection of an architectural firm for the full scope of services associated with planning and designing a world-class facility for the New Brunswick Museum.

The architectural firm selected through the RFP process will have the experience, resources and capabilities required to work with the NBM Board and staff to design, plan and execute the project.

“The release of this RFP achieves an important milestone in our plan to build a modern home in Saint John for the New Brunswick Museum,” said Tourism, Heritage and Culture Minister Tammy Scott-Wallace. “The Museum is a provincial treasure that tells the story of our province. I’d like to thank the Museum board for their work and I can’t wait to see the new home for the New Brunswick Museum come to life.”

The RFP is available on the New Brunswick Opportunities Network (NBON) at https://nbon-rpanb.gnb.ca/ and MERX at https://www.merx.com/ with solicitation number NBM 2023-01. The closing date for submissions is 1 March, 2023.
