Public Contemporary Art – Get to know Saint John walking tour series

During this walk a variety of Uptown Saint John’s public artworks will be discussed, including Peter Powning’s “Shards of Time”, John Hooper’s “People Apart Moving Together” and pieces produced as part of the Sculpture Saint John international symposium. Come along to learn more about the artists, their materials, and the meaning behind the work.

The “Get to Know Saint John Walking Tour Series” presented by the New Brunswick Museum will take place every Thursday evening at 6pm and every Saturday morning at 11:30am. Four unique walks, lasting 45 minutes to an hour, will tour through various parts of Uptown Saint John. Each walk will explore different themes and eras associated with the city’s natural, architectural, and social history.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, space is limited so bookings must be made a minimum of 24 hours in advance. Booking can be made by calling the New Brunswick Museum at (506) 643-2300. Cost is $5 per person or free with regular admission and can be paid for over the phone or on site. All walks will begin at the John Hooper clock outside the main doors of Market Square.
