Ed landing is the State Palaeontologist at the New York State Museum and Steve Westrop is a palaeontologist at the University of Oklahoma. In 1997 they led a geological field trip for the International Cambrian Chronostratigraphy Working Group on an examination of Hanford Brook. This site has been a significant site for understanding the Cambrian geology of southern New Brunswick for more than a century.
