Volunteering with the NBM

Volunteers assist in many areas of the New Brunswick Museum (NBM). Thanks to the enthusiasm and effort of many dedicated volunteers, we are able to enhance our programs, build and better manage our collections and research, provide our visitors with a great experience, and support our events.

The first involvement of many NBM volunteers was in response to a specific appeal. Volunteers who had an interest in certain collections or knowledge in a particular area of the Museum offered their services for that particular project. Many of those volunteers are still with us, some for over 20 years, and we pride ourselves on the team atmosphere that has developed. Volunteers benefit in many ways by learning new skills, meeting new friends, and having lots of fun.

As the NBM builds its programs and collections, volunteering opportunities regularly become available and will be posted on our website.
